Wynyard Planetarium And Observatory
The Planetarium & Observatory are a non-profit making service area within the Care for Your Area section of Development and Neighbourhood Services, Stockton-on-Tees Borough CouncilWe welcome any community group who would like to pay us a visit, such as Round Table, Women's Institute, Rotary Club or University of the Third Age.
We cater for visits by all educational establishments from pre-school to university level, not only within the Stockton LEA but the wider Tees Valley and the rest of the North-East of England.
The Planetarium is an educational & entertainment resource for schools, colleges, community groups and the general public. Weekdays provide the main focus for activities for schools and colleges, while evenings offer an opportunity for community groups to enjoy shows. Public shows are held every two weeks on a Friday evening with occassional shows on a Sunday afternoon during the summer months.
